Summary

You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER in the Unaccompanied Housing Division, Naval Region Southeast of NAS PENSACOLA.

Duties

  • You will plan, develop and manage UH services, programs and facilities.
  • You will identify problems or deficiencies and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
  • You will provide training in customer service and Unaccompanied Housing procedures and operations.
  • You will create short and long term plans for facility and maintenance requirements.
  • You will oversee renovation/repair and improvement projects, prepare funding justification and requests.
  • You will direct comprehensive inspection programs including structural, utility systems, habitability, grounds, etc.
  • You will serve as station representative in conferences and meeting concerning Unaccompanied Housing programs, services, management practices and trends.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Administering housing programs in compliance with federal, state, regional, and local policies and regulations;
2) Developing new management approaches to address unique problems involving housing, facilities, tenants, services, and equipment;
3) Ensuring the effective and efficient use of all financial resources;
4) Exercising full supervisory responsibility for subordinate employees.
