WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Member (E1/AB - E6/TSgt) employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member (E1/AB - E6/TSgt) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
GROUP III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard.
Military Grades: Enlisted Member (E1/AB - E6/TSgt)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training administrating and directing Staff functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months specialized experience, education, or training, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Experience planning, organizing, and overseeing the full complement of activities.
- Experience preparing the preparation and review of outgoing correspondence; for accuracy of spelling, punctuation, form, grammar; and for completeness of reports and correspondence.
- Experience integrating Information Technology into Group Staff operations.
- Experienced assisting in managing a training program and all subsequent duties.
