Duties
As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, GS-0201-09 you will plan, organize, and oversee the full complement of activities within the State Air National Guard Headquarters administrative and personnel programs. Oversee State ANG Headquarter programs to facilitate the commander's vision. Oversee workflow and tasking to ensure personnel and administrative processes are completed as required. Review organization mission, functions, and manning requirements. Identify requirements and initiates requests for additional resources including equipment and supplies to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives. Establish metrics and analysis systems to ensure actions are timely processed, measured, and reviewed at critical points. Perform self-inspection and presents a detailed and comprehensive report with any corrective actions taken to supervisor. Other duties as assigned.
Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK"
Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5 day workweek, then a 4 day workweek ( 8 nine-hour days and 1 eight-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80 hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

- Position designated Essential Personnel, may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, state emergency/ disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a year of appointment
- May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance designated at the State through the use of the Position Designation Tool.
- The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Must have the skills that demonstrate you have the ability to:
- Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
- Plan and organize work; and
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade with knowledge that encompasses human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force.
Education
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified below:
GS-9 master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
