There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
CCAD is operating under a compressed work schedule. The following schedule applies to this position:
(Week 1) Monday through Thursday- 9 hours /Friday- 8 hours
(Week 2) Monday through Thursday- 9 hours/Friday-Off
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Hazardous Waste Disposer (Motor Vehicle Operator / Forklift Operator) ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform common duties which include 1) ensuring proper storage of hazardous waste; 2) reading Safety Data Sheets (SDS); and 3) operating a forklift. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
- PHYSICAL EFFORT: Required to stand, stoop, bend climb, crawl, hold and control high pressure spraying hoses and nozzles and occasionally work in strenuous positions. Frequently lifts, moves, or carries objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside in all weather conditions. Is constantly exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, grease, cleaning agents, and chemicals. Possibility of falls, cuts, bruises, scares, burns from steam, also skin, nose, and eye irritation. May be required to wear protective clothing such as apron, gloves, boots, hat, face shield, respirator, safety glasses, or earplugs.
