In order to qualify, applicants must be eligible for appointment under Schedule A. Minimum Qualification Requirements: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the next lower grade level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze health insurance policies and guidance to support program implementation and oversight.
- Provide program support to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and external stakeholders, such as states, contractors, or health plans.
- Evaluate program operations data and metrics to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop policy analyses and other written materials to inform executives' decision making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support effective administration of health insurance programs and support program integrity.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
