You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: planning and recommending strategies integrating Health Information Technology (HIT) systems, (i.e. electronic health record systems, health information exchanges, etc) and Information Technology systems to improve healthcare operational efficiency; extracting and analyzing health information system business process deficiencies to implement process improvement strategies; developing and implementing resources to support professional development of all Health Informatics staff; managing projects that have technical and clinical components;
AND providing supervision, leadership, or direction to employees and their work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
