Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1). Using electronic health record systems, such as Military Health System (MHS) Genesis Power Chart; Revenue Cycle; Microsoft Word and Excel; 2). Working with multidisciplinary teams in care coordination in a fast-paced work environment; and 3). Professional patient care, such as scheduling multiple appointments, handling medical records, tracking test results for patients, and entering personnel communications in the electronic health records.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
