Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that includes minimum eligibility requirements for positions in this occupation based on possession of the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certificates and/or appropriate military ratings, meeting the applicable flight hours requirements, and possession of the knowledge and skills required for the position which includes experience in instructing rated and non-rated pilots in maintenance test flight procedures in the AH-64D/E helicopter; instructing and evaluating pilots in basic/advanced test flight task and maneuvers, aircraft systems and limitations, conducting classroom instruction concerning the AH-64D/E aircraft systems and operating procedures; and monitoring standardization requirements, recommend changes in lesson plans, program of instruction, training methods and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
CERTIFICATIONS: This position requires you possess the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Certificates, FAA Flight Instructor Certificate and/or appropriate military rating.
