Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide specialized Hematology/Oncology care in outpatient settings.
- Evaluate and prioritize consultations from Primary Care and other departments.
- Oversee patient treatment planning, medical histories, and physical examinations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct administrative duties such as peer reviews and professional evaluations.
- Participate in Hematology/Oncology on-call services.
Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- An unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
- Completion of accredited residency training with eligibility for board certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Preferred: Board certification and Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and background investigation.
- Compliance with VA Health Care Personnel vaccination programs.
