Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized Hematology/Oncology care in outpatient settings.
  • Evaluate and prioritize consultations from Primary Care and other departments.
  • Oversee patient treatment planning, medical histories, and physical examinations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct administrative duties such as peer reviews and professional evaluations.
  • Participate in Hematology/Oncology on-call services.

Qualifications

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • An unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of accredited residency training with eligibility for board certification in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Preferred: Board certification and Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and background investigation.
  • Compliance with VA Health Care Personnel vaccination programs.
