Duties
            
        
            
                Duties include, but not limited to:
	- Oversees, guides, manages and integrates EMS operations across the organization.
 
	- Makes recommendations as a subject matter expert and acts as the final authority for areas of responsibility.
 
	- Establishes, monitors and manages the performance and measurement of EMS functions.
 
	- Coordinates and collaborates with a variety of stakeholders; including clinicians, professional/administrative peers, suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers.
 
	- Effective plan organizational goals and objectives.
 
	- Reviews, analyzes and interprets incoming requests, recommend appropriate action or suggests appropriate alternatives based on knowledge of internal operations, agency personnel policies, budgetary constraints and work priorities.
 
	- Maintains tracking system for a variety of requirements for EMS service regarding EOC, Infection Prevention, Project Management committees.
 
	- Interpreting administrative policies, developing implementing local policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to top management on related issues.
 
	- Reviews and provides feedback on SOPs/Memos of the Medical Center and serves as the subject matter expert for this process, this includes review and revision of all SOPs/Memos for formatting and up to date information, tracking due dates, and working with service chiefs to assist in revision and management of all related documents.
 
	- Applies new policies, provides advice on requirements, maintains administrative systems, and prepares administrative documents such as executive decision memos, issue briefs and white papers.
 
	- Managing assigned projects and personnel in accordance with policy and budget requirements.
 
	- Advising other senior management and department leaders on highly complex and critical hospital missions.
 
	- Maintains positive interactions and cooperation with contractors, local community members, administrative and clinical hospital staff.
 
	- Conduct audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency review

    Qualifications
    
        To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/10/2025.
EXPERIENCE:  A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:  Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Note: 
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: This position requires occasional bending/stooping, crouching, and kneeling. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Approximately 40 percent of time spent standing, 40 percent of time spent walking and 20 percent of time spent sitting. Hearing and visual acuity. Manual dexterity to use a phone and operate equipment.
    
        
            Additional information
            Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior work experience or military service experience. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
