Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting in completion of personnel actions in a wide variety of functional areas such as: Promotions, board support, benefit programs, awards and decorations, retirements, occupational specialties, ID cards, commissary cards, retirement points accounting, SGLI, incentive programs, reclassifications, transfers, accessions, resignations, assignments, reassignments, separations, extensions of service, transfers between service components, official credentials, correction of errors to files, discharges and/or other corrections to the official military record. 2) Using a number of computer software packages in the performance of assigned duties which may include, but are not limited to: Word processing, database management, electronic mail, the Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS), ARPERCEN Orders and Resource System (AORS), Personnel Electronic Management System, (PERMS), Reserve Data Management System (RDMS), Total Personnel Data Base-Reserve (TAPDB-R), Active Guard Reserve Management Information System (AGRMIS), Integrated Work Station QWS), Contact Tracking System (CTS), Request Vacancy System (RVS), data queries and automated forms packages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
