Summary

This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Office of Workforce Technology and Development (OWTD), Human Resources Information Systems Division (HRIS). As a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), you will act as the subject matter expert on all Workday Help and Benefits Modules. You will provide technical support, training, system configuration and ensure proper implementation of system enhancements and functionality.

Duties

As a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex functional issues related to Workday Help and Benefits modules.
  • Lead the configuration, testing, implementation of system enhancements, and maintenance of Workday Help and Benefits modules based on evolving organizational needs.
  • Design and optimize HR business processes within Human Resources Information systems to enhance efficiency and user experience.
  • Manage and audit security roles and permissions within Workday to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to staff, management and employees on new HRIT implementations, system improvements and emerging technologies.
  • Offer technical support to end-users regarding all Workday platforms to ensure system integrity, reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:

  1. Ensuring timely and accurate processing of all types of personnel actions in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  2. Analyzing human resources (HR) data in HRIS system to identify and resolve discrepancies, create reports, and make recommendations.
  3. Overseeing proper functionality of the HRIS platforms to include customization, development, testing and upgrades to applications, systems and modules.
