GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
- Performing, or assisting with, multiple functions in two or more of the following functions: developing job analyses, creating job opportunity/vacancy announcements using an automated application system, veteran preference determinations/adjudications, making eligibility and/or qualification determinations, and developing assessment tools to determine the best qualified applicants such as: occupational questionnaires, narrative questionnaires, structured interview questions; AND
- Completing and reviewing documents to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines, for a wide variety of human resources (HR) such as accessions/new hires, promotions, reassignments, resignations, etc.; AND
- Responding to a variety of human resource (HR) inquiries from managers, employees and/or applicants.
GS-11: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in three or more of the following functions: preparing job analyses, creating job opportunity/vacancy announcements using an automated application system, veteran preference determinations adjudications, making eligibility and/or qualification determinations and developing assessment tools to determine the best qualified applicants such as: occupational questionnaires, narrative questionnaires, structured interview questions; AND
- Preparing, reviewing, and updating/processing a wide variety of personnel actions for Federal civil service employees such as accessions, promotions, reassignments, awards, etc. and ensuring accuracy of information and compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines; AND
- Responding to a variety of human resource (HR) inquiries from managers, employees, and applicants.
