GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Generalized experience is experience in: the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. OR EDUCATION: If you have successfully completed a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: I have equivalent combinations of successfully completed post high school education and experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of market research methods and techniques to aid in performing research analysis, developing surveys, evaluating, and establishing promotional strategies to identify customer needs.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, and policies governing and guiding the Commodities and Industrial Products Division practices.
- Ability to recognize and solve problems, apply marketing research techniques, and analyze information for presentation to management.
- Ability to aid in the preparation and presentation of reports, cost proposals, and budget exhibits.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
