- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by TAG.
- The incumbent may be required to travel in military and/or commercial vehicles to perform temporary duty assignments.

BASIC QUALICATIONS:
- Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately.
- Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats.

- Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Have at least 1 year experience at the GS-0080-11 or above? *Must submit SF50 to validate claim*
OR have experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled:
- Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
- Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.
- Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls.
- Ability to plan and carry out reviews of unit and/or contractor security programs, analyze and evaluate reports and conditions to recommend remedial actions.
Additional experience requirements for this position. Applicant must have:
- Special Security Officer (SSO) experience or equivalent SCI oversight role at Group or Wing level.
- Information Protection (IP) program experience or service as Information Protection Support Staff.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Counter-Insider Threat Representative.
- Experience participating in or leading high-risk counter-insider threat working groups involving multi-functional disciplines and cross-organizational coordination.
- Cleared for Top Secret Information and granted access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
