SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes design, development, planning, testing, quality assurance, configuration management, and initial operational integrity of hardware and software systems to meet the business requirements and modification efforts pertaining to the Air Force nuclear weapon systems

Desired Skills:
- 2 years of experience in Windows Server administration desired
- 2 years of VMware vSphere/vSAN administration desired
- 2 years of STIG evaluation and implementation desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Knowledge of IT system analysis, operating system concepts, functions, techniques and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new/ emerging IT security methods, feasibility of proposed new systems; design, test and maintain IT systems ensuring successful integration.
2. Extensive knowledge of virtual environment, SAN and LUN provisioning, configuration and management.
3. Knowledge of principles, methods and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to build systems and optimize system performance.
4. Knowledge of IT systems life cycle methods to include system documentation, system requirements and techniques, design development, CM, cost benefit analysis, systems analysis, unprecedented design methodologies, systems integration, data administration and testing.
5.Knowledge of IT system analysis concepts and development techniques required to carry out project assignments of considerable difficulty and methods to install, configure, test and implement modifications and to interface hardware and software programs with OS.
6. Ability to gather facts and use analytical and evaluative methods to access requirements; apply CASE tools to design development processes; deviate from traditional methods; and solve a variety of complex or intricate computer hardware/software problems.
7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to coordinate technical support of systems. Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.
