This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is the ability to perform the duties of an Instrument Mechanic as demonstrated by the following: 1.Thorough knowledge and understanding of electrical and electronic principles including knowledge of system relay logic circuits, able to interpret wiring diagrams, able to work on instruments and equipment with voltages ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC. 2. Ability to use a variety of electrical and electronic test instruments including mulitmeter, megger, milliamp generator. 3. Ability to use a variety of tools including basic electrical and electronic hand tools, power tools including drills, soldering kits, knockout sets, crimp sets. 4. Thorough knowledge and understanding of PLC applications, SCADA systems, wireless communication applications. 5. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Motor Control Centers, VFD applications, Soft Starter applications. 6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including following written and oral instructions from Supervisor. **NOTE** This information must be supported by your resume in order to be considered for this position.
