Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) NG Accelerated Hiring Authority, Position Description Number T0062P01 and is part of the PA Joint Staff, National Guard.

Duties

As an INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF), GS-0101-12, you will be responsible for the direction and technical oversight of all integrated primary prevention personnel; attends all meetings, briefings, and conferences as a lead representative of the integrated prevention program; and responsible for the full range of integrated prevention administrative requirements. Administer and oversee the state integrated primary prevention workforce. Conduct recurring state integrated primary prevention level meetings to review the short, medium, and long-range goals, plans, and milestones. Maintain regular and effective liaison with higher authorities (NGB personnel, state leadership, etc.). Develop strategy and program for improving and maintaining strong relationships with state leadership, and other key stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED
This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

Supervisor for this position is Mr. Steven Rodgers.

*NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Tier 3 Security Clearance.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences, or a combination of education and experience that provided you with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences, or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate 36 months experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
