One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
GS-09 Specialized experience is defined as: utilizing established quantitative and qualitative techniques in order to evaluate capital assets belonging to a large-scale organization; participating in planning, provisioning, accountability, OR ultimate issue of supplies, equipment, or related inventory; assisting in the interpretation and implementation of Department of Defense regulatory guidance as it relates to capital asset management requirements.
GS-11 Specialized experience is defined as: providing analysis of capital assets belonging to a large-scale organization; interpreting, developing, and implementing policy related to the planning, provisioning, accountability, OR ultimate issue of supplies, equipment, or related inventory; providing authoritative interpretation of Department of Defense regulatory guidance related to capital asset management requirements.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
- To be considered for the GS-9, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-7 or higher in the Federal service.
- To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service.
