Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducting annual reviews as required to ensure compliance with the accreditation and/or certification of program deployed information systems.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring that users and system support personnel have the required security clearances, authorization and need-to-know before granting access to information systems under the incumbents purview.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing guidance, as to scope and priorities of projects in the assigned area and, in consultation with the incumbent, develops deadlines, time-frames, projects and work to be done.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducting an on-going internal review of operations within the CS environment to ensure compliance with computer security requirements and, when appropriate, initiates action (formally or informally, as necessary) to correct noncompliance conditions.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector sector in order to perform the duties of an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC). Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: 1)Providing leadership to Cybersecurity personnel within the Integrated Product Team (IPT); 2) Planning and formulating concepts, policy, techniques and procedures, instructions, certifications, standards, and criteria appropriate to the effective implementation and management of the Cybersecurity program; 3) Ensuring Cybersecurity requirements are fully integrated into all phases of the acquisition, upgrade, or modification programs, including initial design, development, testing, fielding, and operation/sustainment; 4) Providing customers with information/analytical support/guidance on Cybersecurity requirements; and 5) Planning and conducting Cybersecurity continuous monitoring and analysis.
