You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the
GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Analyzes, evaluates, and contributes to the development of system requirements, modifications, and functional system change requests from a technical viewpoint, impacting current and future systems. Reviews change requests from DoD and non-DoD entities, recommending acceptance, revision, or rejection based on technical feasibility and alignment with strategic goals.
- Reviews DoD strategic plans, proposals, and component requirements, identifying risks, recommending enhancements, and driving modifications to mission systems. Analyzes component plans, providing recommendations for improvement and coordinating activities to ensure alignment with overall DoD strategic objectives.
- Develops and establishes long-range (5+ year) IT program goals, objectives, and measurement criteria to guide future IT initiatives.
- Evaluates and recommends actions on component programs and projects, ensuring alignment with DoD strategic directives, including providing interpretations and recommendations for policy and guidance.
- Applies comprehensive IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to plan and deliver services. Provides expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and technical specialists on critical issues impacting the Portfolio.
- Leads and participates in working groups with DoD representatives and stakeholders to design a broad range of future mission partner information systems.

Requirements for the 2210 series as listed below: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
