Physical Demands: The work is sedentary, but may involve intermediate periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, pulling, and working at a keyboard and monitor.
Major Duties:
- The incumbent manages broad-based IT project assignments for program areas and activities within the Program Executive Director Front Office, Schedule and Risks Pillar.
- Performs a wide variety of analytical duties connected with the execution of critical applications integration and configuration activities.
- Reviews and interprets policies, program guidance and objectives relating to assigned responsibilities and engages operational management methods, systems and operations.
- Ensures the smooth operation of field activities, including field safety and work quality by interfacing with field workers, clients, and third-party material suppliers, field coordinator.
- Coordinates the IT activities contributing to achieve the strategic objectives of VA EHRM-IO within the context of increased use of technologies requiring a high level of knowledge related to cybersecurity, infrastructure, software and hardware and other interconnected technologies related to IT technology management.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/24/2026.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
Provide a copy of your last or most recent SF-50, "Notification of Personnel Action" to indicate your current federal status. You must also submit additional SF-50(s) to clearly demonstrate one year time-in-grade as required in the announcement. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate that you possess one year time-in-grade. Minimum Qualification:
The demonstration of knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies which demonstrate the likelihood to perform successfully the duties of the position and is related to the work of the position to be filled. These knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies are normally attained through the equivalent of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of the position being filled but may now be obtained through other means. Such demonstratable knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies may be typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT or other means (e.g., licensure, certification, registration, or special training).
You must possess one-year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Specialized experience is defined as managing Information Technology (IT) projects that include (1) Identifying customer needs/requirements and translating into technical IT solution requirement; (2) Analyzing, planning, reviewing and developing information technology systems and major changes to existing systems and databases; (3) Developing and managing major IT project plan/proposals to completion; (4) Problem solving to find workable solutions to unique IT related issues; extensive experience with health IT project management, including identifying and managing risks in relation to program resources, scope, and timelines.
