Qualifications
GS-9:
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Performing information technology (IT) services in areas of network and desktop support; installing, testing, and evaluating systems; and troubleshooting desktop and cellular communication devices; 2) Facilitating computer installs by creating accounts and verifying location of hardware/software ordered; 3) Ensuring secure configuration of all systems to meet agency cyber requirements; and 4) Providing recommendations for software and hardware updates to include costs and resources necessary to execute. 5) Resolving hardware/ software interface and interoperability problems. 6) Conducting threat assessments, monitors, and uses defensive measures on the network to remediate unauthorized activities and responds to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain.
GS 7:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing IT issues by applying performance management/measurement methods, tools and techniques; 2) Evaluating maintenance plans and statements of work regarding contracting activities with Information Technology systems, hardware, software etc. 3) Assisting in the planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, standardization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. 4) Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems. 5) Conducting threat assessments, monitors, and uses defensive measures on the network to remediate unauthorized activities and responds to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain.6) Performing routine network configuration management functions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

To qualify for the GS-09
I have successfully completed 2 full years (36 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
To qualify for the GS-07
I have successfully completed 1 full year (18 hours) of graduate level education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement (see job opportunity announcement for additional information) from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and my education has equipped me with the competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position as described in the job opportunity announcement.
