Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Utilizing Cisco software and hardware to maintain Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN); 2) Utilizing systems analysis and design techniques, such as data and process modeling; alternative design approaches; configuration management; and computer equipment requirements as related to networks and telecommunications to support customer needs; and 3) Conducting Risk Assessments and Security Test and Evaluation to identify vulnerabilities and potential violations. 4.) Having experience with IDNX and Access Switch equipment and Cisco Video-teleconferencing systems.

ORAL COMMUNICATION - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: communicating complex technical requirements to technical and non-technical personnel; relaying Information Assurance and IT security requirements to personnel;
PROBLEM SOLVING -Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: troubleshooting and resolving IT information security and assurance problems; mitigating risks to acceptable levels; and initiating protective and corrective measures if security issues are discovered.
