This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Expert" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

My experience includes mastery of distributed processing techniques, heterogeneous networked environments and internetworking techniques; Extensive knowledge of mini/microcomputer systems serving as the authority on a wide range of technologies and applications; Mastery of interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines and systems development principles and approaches to lead IT systems development projects from design to support. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, policies, procedures, and implementation strategies, to accomplish delivery of AFTAC business requirements, processes, products, and services. Advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout AFT AC.
2. Mastery of interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines and systems development principles and approaches to lead IT systems development projects from design to support. Advise customers of new developments and advanced technologies in information management and information delivery to customers. Mastery of distributed processing techniques, heterogeneous networked environments and internetworking techniques. Extensive knowledge of mini/microcomputer systems serving as the authority on a wide range of technologies and applications.
3. Mastery and expert knowledge of technological advancement in the area of lnformation System (IS) services, defining issues and problems and the use of expertise to advise on all phases of IS and on long-range information management strategies and plans.
4. As a technical authority on AFT AC support requirements, requires knowledge of advanced technology information processing concepts, an expert level of products and principles, practices to accomplish work processes through the use of modernized telecommunications and automation equipment, systems, services and facilities. Knowledge is also used to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and highly, complex information management system problems.
5. Highly specialized knowledge of data communication technology, data base information management, distributive data processing, client/work server architectures, web(Inter/lntranet) processing/implementation, acquisition, implementation and life-cycle management processes and modernization of office automation system/support.
6. Mastery and use of expert knowledge for installation, test, and acceptance processes of systems/applications software, and for the assurance of the proper administration of the standard security products and the associated utility special products and major subsystems. Assignments require a wide variety of techniques in supporting IT initiatives associated with special and recurring studies. The work is very complex, involving the latest in IT hardware and software. Solves difficult multi-faceted automation integration problems.

1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
3. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
4. Employee may be required to undergo random CI polygraph examinations in accordance with security regulations involving material handled.
