Summary

This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, J6 (GSVC) JOINT SERVICE PROVIDER (JP51) at Arlington, Virginia.

Duties

  • Provides the Director, JSP executive management team and contractor team members with balanced assessments of various program strategies and processes.
  • Recommends strategies, designs and plans that create an optimal balance between maintaining high levels of quality and providing customers with increased operational capabilities, within cost and schedule parameters.
  • Develops standards, plans, and procedures to facilitate implementation of approved programs throughout the program community, including contractor team members.
  • Recommendations for new program initiatives are approved, provides direction and oversight to the contractor teams tasked to develop and implement them.
  • Participates actively in all scheduled and impromptu meetings and reviews, at which engineering is a pertinent technical issue.
  • Included is participation in all program phases, from strategic planning for the evolutionary enhancement of the JSP enterprise through to detailed assessment of problem/incident reports and project design documents.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
Applicants must demonstrate on their resume that they have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards
Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs
Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions


Qualifying Experience:

For the GG-14, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GG-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GG-13 if outside the Federal service, is required.

Qualifying experience is defined as Experience with leading people, managing task, preparing presentations or briefs and Information technology (ex. Network Infrastructure).

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of the competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Education

There is no substitution of education for the specialized experience requirement at this grade level.

To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
