Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Maintain a repository for all cybersecurity-related documentation, i.e. Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) management and tracking, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and Computer Network Defense (CND).
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyze customer information systems for risk to the organization.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Regularly and clearly communicate with laboratory representatives and leadership.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Assess security events to determine impact and implement corrective actions.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Leading complex projects related to network and system design, ensuring implementation of appropriate systems security policies; 2) Maintaining an organization's cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies, cybersecurity personnel, and cybersecurity processes and procedures; 3) Ensuring that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations; 4) Acting as a cybersecurity technical advisor for the organization.
