Have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1.Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Plan, design, and integrate server systems consistent with existing or planned data center infrastructures. 2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Advises and assists customers with technical aspects of the requirements determination, documentation, and justification process. 3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides technical guidance to assist in preparation of documentation in support of the acquisition of services/materials and keeps the supervisor informed of progress and potentially controversial matters. 4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include: Performing a wide variety of duties requiring the application of many different and unrelated processes and methods to a broad range of IT activities or to the in-depth analysis of IT issues. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Interpreting fire alarm and intrusion detection system integration. 2) Interpreting Cisco network administration to include installation, configuration, maintaining, designing and troubleshooting. 3) Interpreting Microsoft operating system installation, configuration, upgrading, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting. 4) Identifying and implementing cyber security standards and controls, and policies for IT systems and applications
