Summary

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) of US NAVAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

Duties

  • You will collaborate with the data team and cross-functional teams to provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on IT projects.
  • You will oversee, prioritize task assignments and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • You will assist with implementing data security and data accuracy measures.
  • You will develop and maintain custom APIs, and automate system and data processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collaborating to provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on IT projects, including support for acquisition management, staffing, and budget oversight; 2) Planning and implementing technology developments and demonstrations; 3) Providing guidance and training on Student Information Systems (SIS) to team members; 4) Participating in code review and analysis in a variety of programming languages (i.e. Representational State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) APIs, APEX, XML, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

This designation requires:
1. The incumbent participate in a continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINS 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.2. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.

2. The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for DCWF role of System Administrator proficiency level Intermediate, For more information, please review SECNAV M-5239.2 Chapter 3, paragraph b (1) (g) 1.
