You may qualify at the NH-03 if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Must meet 2 out of 4 of the statements below:
- Experience of information technology/information management principles, concepts, and methods with corresponding ability to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage functional and network infrastructure requirements.
- Experience of the architecture and topology of software, hardware, and networks including Local Area Networks (LANs); Wide Area Networks (WANs); telecommunications systems, their components, and associated protocols and standards; and how they operate and integrate with one another and with associated controlling software
- Experience in interfacing with multiple individuals from diverse organizations with corresponding ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience to transform business/functional requirements into technical requirements used for logical design and to address current and future IT needs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and
evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
