This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

  • Manages system resources including performance, capacity, availability and recoverability.
  • Interfaces with the Garrison Information management Office/S6 and Network Enterprise Center (NEC) and supports configuration control management.
  • Ensures data interfaces with Information Systems and supports data processing and ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Army (DA) policies. I
  • Evaluates server virtualization as appropriate, and monitors compliance of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementations.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain certifications per DoD Directive 8570.01, 8140.03, AR 25-1, AR 25- within nine (9) months.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes development of an automated information system/network security program, assisting in coordinating certification and accreditation activities, reviewing threat and vulnerability assessments to analyze risks to information systems/networks and determine appropriate measures to manage those risks. In ADDITION to the specialized experience I have related experience in Information Technology on each of the following competencies:1) Attention to Detail - Attends to detail when planning, prioritizing, and assisting with the daily workflow across the spectrum of Information Technology functions and resources.2) Customer Service - Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported problems.3) Oral Communication - Advise on information systems management and provide staff with technical advice on operations and maintenance of the automated system.4) Problem Solving - Ability to respond to complex issues and assisting staff on day to day Information Technology support and issues.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

The position is located at United States Army Dugway Proving Ground, approximately 50 minutes,
from Tooele, Utah, and a 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. Dugway offers various alternate work schedule opportunities with most of the workforce working 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. DPG is physically remote, entirely self-sufficient with government housing available for Soldiers, civilians, and Contractors. An AAFES PX, Civilian Authorized Commissary, Community Club, Physical Fitness Center, Swimming Pool, Post Chapel, Childcare, Youth Services and Tooele County K-12 school system are on post.
