Recent Graduates who obtained a qualifying associate's, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years. Qualifications

SUBPART A-BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A. Degree: economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
OR
Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order to receive credit towards qualifications. Specialized experience is experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience:
1. Conducting comprehensive economic research studies and analyses involving technical and economic aspects.
2. Developing narrative, statistical, and/or graphical reports of research and analysis.
3. Conducting microeconomic analyses of market structure, conduct, and performance.
4. Designing econometric models.
5. Reconciling conflicting datasets.
OR
A combination of both education and specialized experience.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
