Duties

  • Under the lead of a full performance specialist, performs highly structured, entry-level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skills needed to perform higher-level assignments
  • Assignments include, delivery of Information Technology customer support services, including system hardware/software installations, configurations, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training.
  • Communicates factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. Gathers and analyzes basic facts and draws conclusions.
  • Uses established industry practices, procedures or policies to determine the most appropriate approach to problem resolution. Applied information security/information assurance policy, principles and practices.
  • Additional duties include but not limited to record management through SharePoint, Excel, and similar programs.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

Work experience, education, and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts and methods as well as skill in applying basic IT principles and practices in:
-Performing highly structured, entry level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill needed to perform higher level assignments;
-Communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing,
-Gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions.
-Data storage, software applications and networking.

Highly Preferred Criteria:
  • Possess Family Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) work experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree with a major study (minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours) in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management

OR
Two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives WILL NOT be paid.
