Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with IT Cybersecurity Architecture designing, developing, and implementing information systems security architecture and processes to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Including Cloud, AI/ML/NLP. Advanced knowledge of software engineering design and development methodologies, paradigms, and tools; the software life cycle; software re-usability; and software reliability metrics. Expert experience protecting and defending information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Experience incorporating Information security framework for the entire federal government. Advanced knowledge of the practice of integrating multiple disciplines into a team as part of a structured development process throughout a system's life cycle.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Data Administration (DATAMGT) - Develops, maintains, and administers databases and/or data management systems that allow for the secure storage, query, and utilization of data. Conducts data integration, data modeling, analytics modeling, and data mining.
2. Cybersecurity - Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance)
3. IT Cybersecurity Architecture (INFOSEC) - Designs, develops, and implements information systems security architecture and processes to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
4. IT Network Defense (INFOSEC) - Uses defensive measures and related hardware, software, and documentation to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to events that occur or might occur within the enterprise network in order to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats. Coordinates threat and mitigation strategies across the enterprise.
