Summary
U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. In NATO countries, employment under U.S. conditions is restricted by the NATO SOFA to individuals who are nationals of a NATO country. These individuals may not be employed under U.S. employment conditions in the country of their citizenship.

Duties
Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the planning and delivery of a full range of network services to the organization. Identifies and resolves issues and problems using analytical methods and practices. Performs network system design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance. Manages the organizations network architecture, topology, and protocols. Evaluates established methods and procedures and prepares recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate. Presents verbal and written communications on the application of new and emerging technologies or industry trends. Reports, responds to, and resolves network service requests. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME.
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education (24 semester hours) in computer science/engineering, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management, or fields that required the development or adaptation of information technology applications, systems, or networks.
OR:
Specialized experience as follows:
1. Performing complex network installations and remote configuration of various network devices.
2. Reporting, responding to, and resolving network service requests. Experience in remote troubleshooting and repair with tier 1 onsite support.
3. Preparing presentations, delivering network training, and communicating complex network issues telephonically to customers in remote locations.
4. Evaluating/troubleshooting network systems (design, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance), and developing solutions to improve network performance.
All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies as they relate to providing IT network services: Attention to Detail; Customer Service; Verbal Communication; and Problem Solving..
Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 3 investigation. Must possess or have the ability to obtain (within 6 months) a network certification and minimum Cyber Security baseline certification of Security+, equivalent, or higher certification in accordance with DOD Manual 8140.03 Cybersecurity Workforce Qualification and Management Program and assigned Defense Cyber Workforce Role (DCFW).
