Basic Requirement: Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

You qualify for this position if you meet the basic requirement listed above and possess one year of specialized experience as described below.
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
- Plans, organizes, and executes annual and multi-year budgeting requirements in support of a designated Branch within the agency
- Analyzes and interprets the impact of new and proposed legislation on the administrative expense portion of the annual budget.
- Conducts cost-benefit analyses and total cost of ownership studies to assists the Branch Chief in developing business cases including establishing IT performance metrics.
Time in Grade Requirement GS-13: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
