Duties
Performs work that involves planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, within a virtualized IT environment. Analyzes all IT systems, using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration of systems, including cloud-hosted and on-premises. Implements security plans, policies, and preventive maintenance schedules. Utilizes diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to verify operability, optimize the functionality of networks and systems connected to the IT environment (virtual or otherwise), and to diagnose/recover failed systems. Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Provides ongoing optimization and problem-solving support to minimize interruptions to carry out critical business activities. Manages user rights for access to systems and equipment. Interprets and applies best practices IAW information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices. Prepares and presents reports and briefings to technical staff and management.

- Must possess a valid U.S Passport, U.S. driver's license and within 30 days of arrival at duty station, must obtain driver's license in host country where employed.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying:
Principles and methods for integrating information systems components; Performance tuning tools and techniques; System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques; Windows Server and Virtual Systems Administration (virtual/cloud/on-premises solutions; and IT expertise in applying security principles, technical implementations, and documentation).
OR,
Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science/engineering, information systems management, or technology management or master's degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following competencies:
1. Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews.
2. Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
3. Verbal communication - Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise.
4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Higher Qualification: 3-5 years of working experience as IT Specialist (System/Network Administrator or Customer Support) in the Gaming Industry; specifically slot management systems. Preferred JunOS experience (CISCO/Linux experience could be substituted).
Must currently possess or obtain (within 12 months of employment) and maintain a minimum Information Assurance baseline security certification of Security+ equivalent or higher certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Technical, Level II technicians.

Preferred: Master's Degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Information systems or Software Engineering.
