Duties
Assists patrons by providing information concerning available leisure activities, selling tickets, making reservations, and arranging for special accommodations required for tours, sporting events, theaters, and special events. Provides full assistance to individuals or groups planning travel including commercial transportation, hotel reservations, and other local services or information. Provides information to patrons on tour itineraries, train. bus, ferry schedules, train passes, boat cruises, camping locations, recreational parks, sight- seeing tours, shopping excursions, festivals, fairs, and cultural information. Ensures that fees are collected, receipts are issued and maintained, and revenue is accurate and appropriately processed. Works with base contracting office to develop a trips and tours contract with at a minimal, two local travel agents. Coordinates tour guide/escorts for tours. Prepares all materials needed for drivers, tour guides, and escorts for assigned trips. May occasionally perform escort duties. Maintains proper inventory levels on brochures, maps1 and flyers for customer availability. Obtain material from travel agent contract or develop locally with printing done by F.FSS contracted marketing office. Prepares end of month and other reports as directed the supervisor. Works with EFSS contracted marketing office, Public Affairs Office, and other venues to advertise tours. events, etc. Using concierge service, works with local travel agents, both contracted and non-contracted to assist customers with restaurants and hotel accommodations, car rental, group touring packages, etc. Completes all necessary phone calls and forms for booking reservations and ensure that the customers are advised of all pertinent information and procedures. Performs related administrative support duties. May work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Operates government provided vehicles to transport participants to the gate for EFSS contracted trips and tours and/or transport customers directly to EFSS specific trips and tours, acting as a tour guide. Accompanies contracted tour guide on certain occasions as directed by the flight chief. Establishes a comprehensive volunteer program to support programming efforts. Has oversight of volunteers to ensure programs are run smoothly and in a professional manner. Provides information referral and concierge service on all available programs to include but not limited to, group tour packages, restaurant recommendations and reservations, tickets to sporting events, etc.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Qualifying Experience:
Possess experience in functions of the travel industry which demonstrate the following (1) A practical knowledge of the tour and travel industry (2) A knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures, (3) The ability to plan and organize recreational activities for groups of people (4) The ability to manage a funds-generating operation (5) The ability to supervise employees. Possess knowledge of accounting principles and financial planning. Be able to deal with the public and be able to communicate effectively. Be well-organized, accurate, detail-oriented, professional and courteous. Requires driving license and willingness to operate 44 PAX bus (bus training will be provided if not already complete). Be approved for an official passport. Have basic computer experience. Be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI}. Be able to satisfactory complete a pre-employment physical.

Education
