The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson Space Force Base is searching for an Installation & Mission Support Program Manager for SSC/S4 (NH-0801-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent).

Here is an outstanding opportunity to pioneer, develop and deliver sustainable joint warfighting capabilities to defend the nation and its' allies and disrupt adversaries in the contested space domain as a Civil Engineer Program Manager with Space Systems Command (SSC), Directorate of Installations, Logistics & Product Support, PETERSON SFB, CO. Candidates may be eligible for PCS cost IAW JTR and DAF Regulations.
The position entails the use of mission support expertise to analyze, develop, and evaluate Installation & Mission Support (I&MS) policy and guidance and includes providing recommendations to leadership to support Command I&MS decisions. Engagement with SSC installations to understand and advocate for their facility and infrastructure requirements and to assist in resolving I&MS issues will be a major requirement of the position. The position will also require maintaining a continuous liaison and advocacy role with various stakeholders to include the Space Force Staff, AFMC, AFIMSC and other service counterparts and DOD offices.
Must possess a degree in an engineering discipline, and the ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree. The ideal candidate would have a well-rounded DAF Civil Engineering career field background with knowledge and experience in civil engineering project programming, Real Property management, project management & execution, asset management, facility operations, and Installation & Mission Support management.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of professional engineering work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, aerospace, and/or other engineering disciplines to determine the business and technical needs of customers in the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, support systems, equipment items, or an equivalent product.
2. Knowledge of processes and procedures related to program management and strategic planning activities needed to execute projects and/or studies within established financial and time constraints.
3. Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human, financial and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals.
4. Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations
5. Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions.
6. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
