This is a full-time Term appointment in the excepted service not to exceed 13 Months.Term appointments may be extended beyond the initial term. As a term employee you will be eligible for medical insurance, life insurance, retirement dental and vision. You will be eligible to earn annual leave and sick leave.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, OR (b) possess a combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Applicants will be evaluated on the following:
1) Academic accomplishment (Doctorate is preferred) in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Data Science or closely related field.
2) Ability to teach mathematics and/or statistics courses in the USMA core program and mathematics and/or statistics elective courses.
3) Demonstrated potential to actively participate in faculty development, research and service.
4) Ability to support the personal growth and development of cadets in and out of the classroom as a role model for future leaders of the Nation.
