This is a full-time term appointment in the excepted service not to exceed 3 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond the initial term. As a term employee you will be eligible for medical insurance, life insurance, retirement dental and vision. You will be eligible to earn annual leave and sick leave.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, OR (b) possess a combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Applicants will be evaluated on the following:
1) Academic Accomplishment (Ph.D. preferred) in Psychology, Philosophy, Ethics, Leadership, Organizational Studies, Adult Education, History, Sociology or a closely related field preferred.
2) Ability to teach in-person at the college level.
3) Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with leaders in an organization, building effective relationships, conducting workshops, committees, and conferences designed to promote the intellectual, social, and physical welfare of students; and
4) Scholarship and stewardship responsibilities of profession.
5) Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, assessment, and integration across interdisciplinary programs.
