You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
Your resume and the online assessment questionnaire will be reviewed to determine whether you meet the qualification requirements outlined in this announcement. Therefore, it is imperative that your resume contain sufficiently detailed information upon which to make the qualification determination. Please ensure that your resume contains specific information such as position titles, beginning and ending dates of employment for each position, average number of hours worked per week, and if the position is/was in the Federal government, you should provide the position series and grade level.
Your resume will also be evaluated to measure your responses to the assessment questions. If you rated yourself higher on the questionnaire than what is supported by your resume, your overall qualifications assessment may be adversely affected.
If you are found qualified, you will be placed in one of three categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified. These category assignments are a measure of the degree in which your background and responses to the assessment questions match the competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) listed below. Within these categories, candidates eligible for veterans’ preference will receive selection priority over non-veterans.
- Knowledge of Counterintelligence (CI) policy, process and procedures including implementing programs.
- Ability to communicate and write threat information and products in accordance with Intelligence Community standards (203, 206 and 208), other documents, and briefings, for all levels.
- Ability to think critically and apply Structured Analytic Techniques to conduct Counterintelligence research and analysis.
- Knowledge of Foreign Intelligence Entities’ tactics, techniques and procedures targeting, exploiting and collecting on personnel, infrastructure, information and systems.
- Knowledge of counterintelligence and security practices including deterrence, response and mitigation.
- Ability to communicate orally using threat intelligence products, other documents, briefings, and oral presentations for all levels.
You do not need to respond separately to these KSAs. Your answers to the online questionnaire and resume will serve as responses to the KSAs.
If you are among the best-qualified applicants referred for consideration, you may be required to complete one (or more) job-related structured interview(s) and a test on application of a Structured Analytic Technique.
Applicants are expressly prohibited from disclosing, publishing, reproducing, or transmitting the content of FDIC assessments for any purpose, in any form, or by any means, whether verbal, written, or electronic. Dishonest conduct, such as obtaining help from others, using reference materials, disclosing assessment content, or submitting a response that is not your own original work, may lead to your disqualification from the selection process and from Federal employment in the future (5 CFR part 731). If you are a current Federal employee, you may be removed or debarred from Federal Service.
