To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Applicants may also qualify at the GS-09 grade level by successful completion of a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B or J.D., if related, from an accredited college or university.
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following:
- Resolving a variety of inventory management problems, inquiries, or situations.
- Analyzing and testing inventory management techniques and methods to arrive at solutions and recommendations.
- Establishing lead times for ordering and staging of material.
- Tracking and adjusting inventory levels to meet inventory demand.
NOTE: Education can be substituted for experience at this grade level.
Applicants may also qualify at the GS-11 grade level by successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university.
