Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of two years of management experience.
- Experience in managing the administrative and operational elements of a F & B program, including staffing.
- Must be service oriented and able to carry out tasks independently.
- This position requires a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing in dealing with patrons, vendors and other MWR Staff.
- Incumbent must show at least two years documented experience of being able to personally prepare a wide variety of foods for quantitative cooking.
- Prepare foods by various methods of cooking, meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, soups, gravies and related dressings, and garnishes.
- Incumbent must be abreast on preparing a number of menu items for one meal, planning and coordinating a variety of steps to ensure all items are ready for service at the same time.
- Incumbent must show documented experience in working a full-service cook.
- Incumbent must display documented experience in proper food handling and preparation, clear knowledge of sanitation regulations, and experience in kitchen equipment operations and ability to report malfunctions in a timely manner.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
