In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of food service management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained in an operations, administrative or managerial position, which included the responsibility of various phases of the operation.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to general experience, the incumbent must have experience in a restaurant or snack bar facility which provides the basis of knowledge of food service management, procedures, and rules and in-depth knowledge of the operation of at least one function of a food service operation. This experience must include responsibility or supervision over at least one of the various phases of a food operation.
