Duties
- You will dig trenches with picks and shovels, heavy jack hammers and mud guns (operated by 90 pounds of air or hydraulic pressure).
- You will excavate by breaking up asphalt around damaged areas on roads, parking lots, and driveways with jackhammers and remove waste material to replace with new asphalt.
- You will push heavy wheelbarrows of gravel, coral, rocks, and concrete.
- You will load, unload, separate, stack, and carry materials, supplies, and packages weighing from 80 to 100 pounds (26 to 45 kilograms) or more.
- You will maintain, account for, and perform operator maintenance and cleaning on all types of equipment and tools required to accomplish assigned duties.
- You will operate hand tools in a safe manner, applying established safety regulations to minimize/avoid violations.

- You may be exposed to high voltage cables, high pressure pipes, and toxic chemicals such as: mercury, asbestos, PCS, and pesticides.
