Duties
Supports the Outdoor Recreation Manager by overseeing daily operations and passing information to Recreation Aids/ Assistants. Assists in execution of Recreation Aids/ Assistants with their tasks across Outdoor Recreation, Wateree Recreation Area, and/ or Woodland Pool, and may also be assigned to assist and support ITT as needed without serving as the ITT lead, ensuring smooth, safe, and customer-focused delivery of programs, services, and equipment operations. The incumbent relays day-to-day direction to Recreation Aids from management, maintains facility cleanliness and readiness, assists with resolving routine customer concerns, and
ensures compliance with established safety, environmental, and facility standards. They assist with planning, coordinating, and
leading outdoor recreation programs, classes, trips, tournaments, and special events; arrange equipment and supplies; demonstrate
proper use of recreational equipment; and support marketing efforts by providing input for promotional materials. Creates After
Action and post-event financial reports. Ensure proper equipment checkout procedures, conduct routine inspections of facilities
and equipment, enforces usage requirements, and reports maintenance needs. Support administrative and financial processes by
overseeing daily cash handling, using computer systems for reservations and inventory updates, assisting with register clearances
and deposit preparation and maintaining operational records. Inputs daily financials within AFSFMS. Conducts monthly resale inventories and ensures operations are aligned to meet cost of sale and NIAD goals and objectives. Completes daily bank deposits. Maintains a system of accountability including inventory, security, and administrative controls for the recreation supply operation. Assists with maintaining files and record keeping for ODR operations. The incumbent provides informal coaching to staff, helps coordinate task coverage without performing supervisory functions, and ensures consistent service standards across all assigned locations. Follows EEO principles and environmental requirements. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings. Requires occasional travel for programs and activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Qualifying Experience:
Experience demonstrating practical knowledge of Outdoor Recreation operations, including hands-on familiarity with recreational equipment, activity areas, and customer service. Must have experience assisting with the development and execution of group activities or programs that appeal to diverse age groups and interests, along with working knowledge of the recreational facilities and services offered. Ability to provide task guidance to junior staff and deliver excellent customer service. Skill in spoken and written communication and in resolving routine customer issues. Experience with cash handling, making change, and following established cash control procedures. Ability to use computer systems for reservations, inventory tracking, and basic administrative tasks. Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. Must be able to obtain, and maintain, certification in CPR and First Aid. Position of Trust. Outside work in all types of weather conditions required.
Condition(s) of Employment: Satisfactorily complete pre-employment physical is required due to heavy lifting/carrying requirements of up to 50 pounds and physical efforts of the position. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

Education
