For the GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with providing reference and research assistance with quality and accurate answers to questions as well as consultation in general and technical areas; 2) Utilizing searching techniques and appropriate academic search tools; 3) Performing library collection management practices for a successful program; 4) Optimizing instructional tools, web pages and library research guides; and 5) Analyzing information requirements to assist in the development of long-range goals for automated systems within the library system.
For the GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing in-depth research assistance to library users according to library policies and procedures; 2) Assisting library customers by identifying and obtaining typically hard-to-find documents, technical reports, or data based on written, telephone, or face-to-face requests; 3) Performing data collection and analysis, internal and public knowledge bases, and shared information management tools; 4) Identifying materials to be added to and removed from the library's print and electronic reference collection; and 5) Reviewing, editing, and adapting library promotional materials for dissemination.
