STEP 1 - Qualify with Application and/or Resume.
You must meet the experience requirements described above under Qualifications. Your application and/or resume must clearly demonstrate your relevant experience to qualify. You must include employer, position title, position start date (mm/yyyy) and end date (mm/yyyy), pay grade (as applicable) for each position listed.
Internship and volunteer positions listed must also include the start date month and year (mm/yyyy) and end date month and year (mm/yyyy).
There is a certification requirement. Step 3 must also be completed to qualify.

STEP 3 - Certification copies, (REQUIRED)
A current Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent, Water Safety Instructor or equivalent certification is required for this position. For consideration, you must upload a copy of your certification/license as an attachment to your profile under "My Job Applications" https://careers.usmc-mccs.org/. Applications received without a certification/license will be ineligible for consideration.
STEP 4 - If prior military, upload a copy of your DD214 Member 4 or Service 2 Copy as an attachment to your profile under "My Job Applications" https://careers.usmc-mccs.org/.
STEP 5 - Employment Preferences, May be requested for positions graded NF-3 and below, Crafts and Trades (NA, NL, & NS), and Child & Youth (CY) positions. If you are using an employment preference, please use this chart below to ensure your application includes the correct required documents to verify eligibility.

Spouses of relocating active-duty military members applying through Military Spouse Preference Program must upload all documents listed above. Spousal Preference applicants hired in a flexible position will not lose their spousal preference eligibility until declination or acceptance of a regular Full-Time or Part-Time position. Spousal Preference may only be utilized once for each permanent relocation.

STEP 6 - If applicable, upload a copy of your *Transition Assistance form and copy of ID card with "TA" stamped on front of card as an attachment to your profile under "My Job Applications" https://careers.usmc-mccs.org/.
Transition Assistance Program: (May be requested for positions graded NF-3 below or equivalent) Involuntarily separated members of the armed forces and eligible family members applying through the Transition Assistance Program must upload all documents listed above in Step 6.
