Summary

About the Position: The Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) will rapidly and efficiently research, develop,prototype, test, evaluate, procure, transition, and/or field critical enabling technologies and capabilities that address near-term and mid-term threats. the RCCTO will produce or acquire material solutions, consistent with the Army's modernization priorities that maximize Soldiers' capabilities to deploy, fight, and win on future battlefields

Duties

  • Serves as a senior logistics specialist in the Guam Defense System (GDS) Joint Program Office (JPO) with responsibility for the synchronization of logistics strategies across 20+ Army, Navy, USAF and MDA programs.
  • Represents the GDS JPO at conferences and meetings with Department of the Army representatives, other military services, foreign nations, and private industry to discuss logistics plans and objectives.
  • Develops and coordinates contract scopes of work for logistics support, from concept through deployment.
  • Establishes strategic logistics initiatives that enhance readiness, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainment across multiple programs.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.

Qualifications

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) level in the Federal service that includes:(1) Developing and executing logistics plans across Army and Joint systems and concepts to ensure integration of logistics elements (i.e. maintenance, fielding, manpower, personnel, equipment and supply support, etc) ; (2) Applying concepts and theories of logistics management to evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of major new logistics support missions and programs; (3) Implementing comprehensive product support strategy throughout the life cycle for the materiel system(s); (4) Interpreting technical policy, procedures and regulations to ensure adherence to schedules and priorities; (5) Analyzing the impact of current activities on current and projected resources, and recommend feasible alternatives; and (6) Briefing leadership or key officials on program status and evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of new logistics support missions or programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).

This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
