This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) level in the Federal service that includes:(1) Developing and executing logistics plans across Army and Joint systems and concepts to ensure integration of logistics elements (i.e. maintenance, fielding, manpower, personnel, equipment and supply support, etc) ; (2) Applying concepts and theories of logistics management to evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of major new logistics support missions and programs; (3) Implementing comprehensive product support strategy throughout the life cycle for the materiel system(s); (4) Interpreting technical policy, procedures and regulations to ensure adherence to schedules and priorities; (5) Analyzing the impact of current activities on current and projected resources, and recommend feasible alternatives; and (6) Briefing leadership or key officials on program status and evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of new logistics support missions or programs.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
